June 2006

"Positive things happens to positive thinkers" from The Fan is a saying I like to use in everyday life. The reason is your thoughts is your life. If you search for problems you will find them and if you're looking for highlights you will find them as well.

As a young kid I cut myself while using a knife, I ran to my grandpa a shouted I,ve been cut. He just glimsed out of his book and said "That's good" and went back to his book. I instantly stopped, found some paper and water to stop the bleeding while thinking "what the f_ck" and it took me some years to understand why. Get out of reaktion and go into action with your mind and your actions and you will be in charge of your life. You can get rid of pain, tiredness and push yourself a lot more than you might think is possible by controling your thougts. This is something I,ve been using when competing to keep up the spirit.

He taught me many lessons but this is the one still very clear in my mind. That's why I like the saying "Positive things happens to positive thinkers"

Knifedefence

Knifefighting and knifedefence is almost like religion to some people. Some people strive for harmony with their true believes and some strive to contradict opposition and waste a lot of time and energy to convince people who don't wan't to change oppinion anyway.

I do prefer to challange myself with my training insted of challanging the world with my oppinions.

Down under

I had the opportunity to train and work in Melbourne for a two weeks of april and may. It was a fantastic place and put a strong desire to return soon. The people and the atmosphere is special and made me understand why a lot of Swedish people like to go there.

The picture is taken from the roof of Backpacker hotel in the city. The 2006 Kombatan camp was special with the return og Grandmaster Presas in Australia. Old and new students participated at the camp and everybody had a good time.
I love my work................

Certificate for Nick, masters from right to left: Andy Elliot, GM Presas, Master Presas Jr and me.
